5.2. How can I cancel my booking?
 Log in to your Halalbooking account or access your booking through the confirmation email. Click "Cancel this booking" and follow the steps.

5.3. Can I cancel my booking free of charge?
It depends on the property’s cancellation policy. Some bookings allow free cancellation, while others may have fees or penalties.

5.4. Can I cancel or change dates for a non-refundable booking?
Non-refundable bookings generally have a 100% charge for cancellation or modification. Only the property can approve an exception.

5.5. How do I know if my booking was cancelled?
You will receive a cancellation confirmation email, and you can also check the status on your booking page.

5.6. Where can I find a property’s cancellation policy?
You can view it on the property page, in your confirmation email, or under the cancellation section of your booking.

5.7. Can I combine two bookings into one?
No. Two separate bookings cannot be merged into a single booking.

5.8. What happens if I become ill and cannot travel?
Non-refundable bookings generally incur a 100% charge in case of cancellation or date changes.

In exceptional cases, only the property can approve a cancellation or modification without penalty. To request an exception, please go to Contact Customer Service on our website and submit a request. Our Customer Relations team will then check the possibility with the property on your behalf. Approval is not guaranteed and depends entirely on the hotel’s decision.

5.9. What happens if a relative has passed away and I cannot travel?
If cancellation is not free, please create a ticket through Contact Customer Service and provide a copy of the death certificate. We will forward your request to the property. Please note that the property decides whether an exception can be made.

5.10. What happens if I don’t like the hotel?
If you experience any issues during your stay, we encourage you to discuss them directly with the hotel first, as this is often the fastest way to find a solution.

Please note that Halalbooking cannot issue refunds or compensation for hotel services, as we act as a booking platform and are not responsible for the services provided by the property.

If you are unable to reach a satisfactory solution with the hotel, you may contact our Customer Relations team for further assistance. While we cannot guarantee a specific outcome, our team will do their best to support you and liaise with the property where possible.

5.11. What is a booking modification?

A booking modification refers to certain changes that may be possible subject to availability and the booking’s conditions.

Depending on the property and rate rules, possible modifications may include:

  • Check-in / check-out dates

  • Room type

  • Number of guests (within the room’s maximum occupancy)

  • Lead guest name

Important information:

  • Adding a room to an existing booking is not possible. If you need an additional room, a new booking must be made.

  • Changing the meal plan (board type) is not available online and may not be possible in most cases.

  • All modification requests are subject to availabilityprice differences, and hotel approval, and may result in additional charges.

If a modification is not available online, you can contact Customer Service through the website to check whether any alternative solutions are possible.

5.12. Can I modify my booking whenever I want?
It depends on the property’s modification policy. Some bookings allow changes up to a certain date, while others may not permit modifications at all. Additional charges may apply depending on availability and rate differences.

5.13. Will any modification cost me extra?
Halalbooking does not charge any modification fees. However, the property may apply charges, especially if the new dates or room types have higher rates, or if the policy does not allow free modifications.

5.14. How can I modify my booking?
You can modify your booking by clicking “Manage your booking” in your confirmation email or by accessing your booking through your Halalbooking account. Available modification options will be displayed based on the property’s policy.

5.15. What does “Request manual review” mean?
This means your request requires review by our accounting team or by the property to check whether the modification is possible. You will receive an update by email once the review is completed.

5.16. Should I click on “Request manual review”?
Yes, you can. Clicking “Request manual review” simply sends your modification request to our team, your booking will not be cancelled unless you later approve any proposed changes. Our accounting team will review your request and:

  • Inform you of any price difference, if applicable

  • If there is no price difference, we will apply the modification directly

5.17. We have booked multiple groups. Can I cancel one group during the free-of-charge cancellation period?
Yes, you can cancel one of the groups without any charge, provided the cancellation is made within the free cancellation period specified in your booking conditions. Each group is treated individually, so cancelling one group will not affect the remaining bookings. To proceed, please contact our Customer Relations team, who will assist you with the cancellation.
